WebChisocheton cumingianus is a tree in the family Meliaceae. The tree is named for the English naturalist Hugh Cuming. Habitat is rain forests from sea-level to 1,300 metres (4,300 ft) altitude. C. cumingianus is found from India and tropical China through Indochina and throughout Malaysia. WebLeaves in spirals, large, pinnate, usually pseudogemmulate; leaflets opposite to subopposite; leaflet blades with margin entire. Inflorescences generally axillary thyrses or spikes. Flowers 4-6-merous, narrow and extended. Calyx cup-shaped or tubular, margin entire or ± dentate. Petals 4-6, distinct, linear-oblong, imbricate to valvate in bud.
